I was on 1.1.2 and unlocked iphone and jailbroken with 1.1.2 baseband.

I tried the upgrade to 1.1.3 and got the cable and connector screen so i did a restore to 1.1.1

I found it wouldnt let me jailbreak and i had slowish wifi connection so I then downgraded to 1.0.2 and tried to jailbreak it but none of the methods work, I have tried them all winstaller, appsnapp, idemocracy etc.

they get to a certain stage then just dont seem to respond, so I currently have a useless iphone that i cannot activate, i just get the connect to itunes screen, i really dont know where to turn now.

Is my iphone completely done? i don't know what I could do to try and fix this, I have been trying things for hours.

I am now on 1.0.2 and not activated and nothing will work, please help!

Why did you even upgrade to 1.1.3?

u have to virginize your iphone , do you know to do that ? And u have to fix your modem firmware also . If you dont know how to do this ? Pm me i will send you a copy off the process .

well i didnt upgrade, I did the jailbreak method that was released. using ibrickr i think it is.

This is all you need , Read it carefully . If it doesnt help i will post another topic. Take care and good luck with your phone .

I really dont think this will work becuase I have tried jailbreaking 1.1.1 loads before i downgraded to 1.0.2 but I will give it a shot, do a restore to 1.1.1 and then try again.

yes as I thought, went to jailbreakme.com and waited for it to install, took me back to the slide for emergency screen as expected and then nothing happened and i just waited, just booted up iphone again to see if it had actually installed but no.

any more ideas? shall i try to re virginise and then restore?

Connect the iphone to Itunes

Just let itunes recognise the phone dont let it do anything else then disconnect and try jaibreakme.com then should work

mate, its so amazing how little details like this can cause a fix :-) all is good now and working, i now upgraded by to 1.1.2 and jailbroken.

always having problems with the iphone probs due to me being over keen on updating and things and rushing into it but i always come here and people everytime have helped me fix it, i really appreciate it! thanks.
