iphone bricked during jailbreak!

hello,

i had an iphone produced in wk 49 which is fw 1.1.2 / bl 4.6 as far as i could find out. _had_, i wrote - i know

yesterday i tried the new sw unlock, and after several tries i finally made it to the jailbreak. at first, this didn't work - the instructions that i followed didn't mention installing oktoprep, but this caused jailbreak to crash with a java error (latest java installed). thus i installed oktoprep, and jailbreak startet to run. but although it obviously finished properly (ok msg), i have now a nice little still picture on my shelf

the iphone came up with the "connect me to itunes" screen (plug + cd image), and nothing else would work anymore ... for i am new to the whole iphone thing, i thought i could try to upgrade to 1.1.3 to have at least some working image and then downgrade again. i didn't know that, due to my 4.6 bootloader, this would not be possible *bangs head against wall* afaik all i can do now is wait for 1.1.4 to be released so that some of you clever guys can make up a new unlock method - but, please, can anybody tell me what i did wrong so that i won't run into the same trap again next time?

U can still unlock it.

Whats the current status of your phone?

What version are u on?

hi,

currently my phone is on fw 1.1.3, showing the "connect to itunes" logo and a "slide for emergency call". it isn't jailbroken, activated or anything ...

Once u have 1.1.2 jailbroken u can follow this guide to unlock.

Don't worry. You phone is now an 1.1.3 OTB. Use exactly the same way you did to unlock you phone: shift+restore to 1.1.1, jailbreakme.com to jail break, install SBD System, install OTB1.2 + OTB1.3 Unlock, shift+update to 1.1.2, dev team update to 1.1.3

hi,

thanks for the links. so far i tried the unlock on a windows pc, which i do not have available currently. so i have to try again on a mac. it seems as if i have an itunes version problem now: i installed itunes 7.5(19) but keep getting error 1604. on the win pc with itunes 7.5(20) everything worked fine. so where can i get this or any other working itunes version? i didn't find another 7.5 release on oldapps ...
