Can someone point me in the right direction for instructions on how to install the installer.app on my (UK - O2) iPhone? All I want to do is install some 3rd part apps.

There are so many different guides and all sorts of jargon on this forum, I really don't know what I am actually looking for, and if it is actually possible to do what I want with my UK iPhone.

What veriosn do you have, 1.11 or 1.12?

I'm on 1.1.2, not modified my iPhone in any way yet.

yes you can install 3rd party apps via the jailbreak and activate way.

follow the tutorials to jailbreak and activate 1.1.2 OTB tutorials all over this forum. Problem is that some programs are not stable with 1.1.2

That won't be a problem, because he can always restore and activate in the official way again.
