Default [Independence] stuck in "Verbose" mode

A friend of mine tried to jailbreak his iphone with independence after a while it stopped working, the black screen shows white letters and is stuck forever. Tried to connect it to the computer and it isnt recognized, not by independence, itunes or ziphone. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've searched around but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks in advance guys

Try taking the phone out of the dock. Hold the Home button down until you get the apple sign followed by the cd icon. You should be able to shut the phone off now.

Put the phone in DFU mode and restore to 1.1.4 in iTunes. You can then use iLiberty or the Pwnage Tool to J/A/U

    connect phone.
    Run itunes
Now, put phone in DFU mode.
If you do this correctly, itunes will detect the phone in recovery mode. Next, you can shift-restore and select 1.1.4 fw to do a restore. After that, use iLiberty to j/a/u
