Incorrect SIM Error after update to 1.1.2
Hello,
i have the following problem after updating to 1.1.2
Problem
1) After unlocking the SIM I got this error: “Incorrect SIM - This iphone must be used with an approved sim"
2) All previously installed apps are gone
I followed this guide to update to 1.1.2
http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html
(OktoPrep > Updated via iTunes to 1.1.2 > ran windows.bat )
copied lockdownd file in /usr/libexec/. Rebooted
PS: German E-Plus SIM was in the iPhone (not the AT&T) while I performed the update.
Status before issue
iPhone 1.1.1 OTB - 04.01.13_G (Jailbroken with anysim and this tutorial http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11833)
At that time iPhone worked great
It would be great if you can help me solving the issue.
Thanks a lot !!!

Did you upgarde to 1.1.2 and then downgrade back to 1.0.2 to unlock the new baseband with anysim from iphone-elite?

No, I just executed the steps described in my initial post.
I forgot to mention that I didn't reboot after OktoPrep. Not sure if this caused the issue?

There's no need to downgrade all the way to 1.0.2. anySIM 1.2 runs fine in 1.1.1.
You will need to install OktoPrep in 1.1.1, so skipping unneeded restores is more than welcome, I would say.
If you need help, I can provide help through MSN, but you'll need time.

did you at anytime during the process run anySIM 1.2.1u ? If so, when ?

@ Fresh_Dutch:
Do you recommend to downgrade back to 1.1.1 again (after I already updated to 1.1.2)?
Can I get you also on Skype (I don't uses MSN)
@ dtube: I ran anysim1.1 only once for the initial unlock of the OTB iPhone.

This is the problem.
After update to 1.1.2 , you have to go back to 1.1.1. here you want to run anySIM 1.2.1u.
Do this:
- put phone in DFU, restore to 1.1.1
- jailbreak+activate and install anySIM 1.2.1u
- run anySIM 1.2.1u
- install oktoprep
- run oktoprep
- "update" to 1.1.2
- jailbreak + activate and you are done.
Here's some nice instruction: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=376

Just follow the way dtube suggests. You can pick the guide, we have one with explanatory pictures.
I'm not on skype, only MSN, but willing to help.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...there are DOZENDS of threads explaining what you need to do and how.
You ran AnySIM1.1 and unlocked the 1.1.1 iPhone, right?
Then you updated to 1.1.2 and OF COURSE your iPhone doesn't work anymore. Where have you been the last two to three weeks? On a deserted island?!
With updating to 1.1.2, you erased the AnySIM1.1 unlock, that simple.
You have a new baseband fw now, the AnySIM1.1 unlock is "gone".
Follow the instructions how to unlock 1.1.2 and you're good. Just make sure that you READ all instructions VERY VERY well and that you UNDERSTAND them.
Headless updates usually are a very bad way to approach iPhone unlocking.
A little NEWBIE FAQ:
1. Jailbreaking means getting write access to the iPhone's file system
2. Activating means getting accecss to the iPhone's GUI menue
3. Unlocking means to allow the iPhone to use any SIM card
Each FW update usually contains a new baseband (modem) firmware too which basically "deletes" the AnySIM patch.
Pray to god that Apple doesn't start a forced bootloader update with new FW versions.
