Default IMEI 0049 Problem solved, but problems with upgrade.

    Hi,

i have a problem with the IMEI0049... no solution was working just with the "free IPFS" i got a solution. So i got back my IMEI on 1.0.2 firmware and the SIM was working fine. Then i used the Virginizer from iphone.unlock.no (the new one) and virginized it, i got a "success message" and it told me that i have to restore it now. I thought "wonderfull" and made a restore directly to 1.1.1 without a SIM-card. So the restore finished and the first what i have done was to push the (i) on activation-screen and now i have again the 0049... IMEI. So i thought "maybe i have to unlock it first..." so i jailbreaked it, then i installed the new AnySim and executed it... but the IMEI didnt change.

So i have to do the same procedure again. I hope it will work again. But what are the exactly steps to upgrade to 1.1.1? I'm not in the mood to do the long procedure again and then to destroy all the work in just a few minutes.

Thank you for all the help and thanks to the DevTeam for the hard work and unlocking procedures!!!

    Best Regards from Germany
    Steffen

after u revirginized the 1.0.2 .. it told u to restore for the process to be complete.. so restore to 1.0.2 and then restore to 1.1.1 and jailbreak and unlock..

edit: took too long to write this and Random beat me to it

Ok, one question more. A friend of mine will buy a 1.1.2 iPhone in Germany with T-Mobile contract. So he wants to jailbreak it to install thirdparty software. Is this possible or can we get a problem with T-Mobile activation etc.?

    Best regards

ok i did the procedure again and it also worked fine, i have back my IMEI... then i used The Virginizer 03.x and it runs also fine. But now i get the message that i have to upgrade my Phone to 1.1.1...?!? What i should do now? Restore to 1.0.2 again, when it will be finished should i directly update to 1.1.1 or should i directly do a restore to 1.1.1 again?

    Whats the right way?

Thank you again for all the help!

    Best Regards
    Steffen

ok, so i restore it first to 1.0.2 again and then i will upgrade to 1.1.1 i think this is the savest method. But do i have to restore it directly without DFU mode? With SIM or without Sim? If yes, which SIM, the AT&T or the other from my provider?

I know many questions, but i dont want lose my IMEI again and so i'm very carefull now.

    Regards
    Steffen
