I got these 0049 problems, too!
I tried the i.unlock.no method at 1.1.1 with 4.0.13. The Viginizer 4x said it was successfully patched. Before restoring 1.1.1 I checked my phone, it was on 3.14.08 and still got the 0049 IMEI. I did the restore that way the guide at unlock.no told me. After that restore it still the 0049 IMEI & 4.0.13.

I had the same problem. I just had to downgrade to 1.0.2 and use the method on hackthiphone.

    It works.

You have to have installer on 1.0.2. to get access to the utilites.

I agree with drakkhen: use the old anysim (the one for 1.0.2)
Running the old anysim after downgrading to 1.0.2 and revirginzing should do the trick.

I gave Anysim1.02 a try at 1.0.2, but after reboot its still the 0049 IMEI.
    It said:
"flash operation succeded but the unlock commands failed. you might want to check the baseband manually using minicom"

i dont know if this can help u, but my chances to fix the IMEI 0049 to the right one were 1 to 1000, it could take weeks, months, maybe years so that someone can find a solution to this problem where IMEI0049 cant be removed from the iphone, the right IMEI seems to be lost or completely erased because theres no way to get it back. i lost hope and i dont have luck so i decided to sell it and buy a new one, i bought my iphone for like 660usd or something like that, sold it for 450usd and bought a new sealed iphone for 470usd, i made an awsome deal considering all the problems of the damaged iphone. now im really happy with my new 1.1.1 iphone unlocked by JSN1. cheerz!
