Remove the SIM card during the virgin and reflash baseband process. See if it helps.

Don't insert anySIM until you run anySIM 1.1 for unlock . (anySIM 1.2 is not recommended.)

Unhappy I have 3 bricks with exactly same error here

Hi, I have the same problem here:
to make an updateon an 1.0.2 unlocked with anysim 1.02 iphone I ran the virginizer 3.x from i.unlock.no website.
after the virginizing process, that endet without any error message, I updated to 1.1.1, wit the result of 0049... IMEI number.

I tried also all instructions found on this forum, all without any success.
I also tried via IPSF (I pay for it :-( ) - also no success.

I don`t know what to do anymore - someone has any NEW idea?

Is there any chance to go directly from 1.0.2 to 1.1.2 i mean with an upgrade to have that baseband, and after that to go back to the 1.1.1 version, just to try to go round the problem?

I have the same problems as described here. One phone is really bullheaded.

It was out of the box 1.1.1 - unlocked and anySIM got it free but than the network monitor was fluctuating and calls didn't get through so I restored it.

Since than I have the 0049-IMEI crap and I can't get rid of it. I try restore / virginize and ericas unlock methode. Nothing works - still 0049 in every firmware (I try 1.0.2 and 1.1.1)

Is there a method that I overlocked. This one neither worked:

    Thanks a lot in advance.

p.s. domanda per iRev: la versione di anysim 1.2 sul tuo repo č quella per fw 1.1.2 downgradato a 1.0.2, giusto?

I tried every single guide, every single process, nothing worked for fixing 164460's iPhone, well, it was sold... that was better. I had some hard times figuring out what was going on... No deal, even tried 1.1.2, no luck.

I just found this on the i.unlock.no site...maybe it could be of some use...? please report back if you try it and it works (or doesnt). if you've already tried it (which is a possibility), please also let us know.
    cheers.

NEW! If you have an unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone, or upgraded to 1.1.1 and have "damaged" imei (0049) you need to repair your phone. I have now put together the ultimate repair solution - this is the absolutely easiest way to repair the phones (virginize). To do so, just add http://i.unlock.no/ as a Source in Installer, make sure BSD Subsystem is installed (else it's in the System category) and install The Virginizer found in the Unlocking Tools category. There's two versions, use the one corresponding to your Modem firmware. Click here for more details. And remember, you got it here first!
