    OK, now what?
So the Virginator pack did not install cause the baseband was not found. It is probably screwed and virginizing wont help then, sorry.

It may even be not there, cause I put in another step when iLiberty installs the payloads wher I check the bb. Has to be there to make sure not to screw up the phone.
I can tell you that I do have 1.0.2.

As for the baseband that is what I have been trying to repair. Can you write me a custom payload that does not check for the baseband as it is corrupt anyway, what I want to do is force a rewrite of the baseband since it's screwed anyway.

Putting together payloads that match take a while, sorry. What you can do is use iLiberty to install openSSH ontop the stuff you have right now, then unpack a copy of the payload.zip you downloaded (post #1).
In there you will find virginator.zip. Unpack this aswell and copy the unzipped folder virginator via SFTP into /usr/bin on the iPhone.
First steps in terminal are different then (from the iPhone)
    cd /usr/bin/virginator/
    chmod 755 *
    ./virginator.sh

Continued then as described in the tutorial.

This will run ieraser then trying to erase the baseband (or whats left) and flash the 1.0.2 matching. Dont know if it is working, but I'd give it a try

I actually downloaded virginator before and WinSCP but I could not figure out how to get the scripts on the phone to run them. For that matter even how to use WinSCP.

I am really inept with the terminal mode too.

I really think that is the way I need to go but after more then 40 hours of working on this phone I need someone to take me by the hand.

I have not found any posts that outline in detail how to transfer files in terminal mode from the PC to the phone. But I'm willing to learn.

This is what I did now.

I used ibricker to transfer the virginator.sh file to the iphone but when I try to run the script I get the following:

    zsh: permission denied: ./virginator.sh

You need to set permissions chmod 755 to all the files you copied over from the virginator pack

I dont want to be offending, but playing around with the baseband manually requires some unix knowledge. Make sure once you start the virginizing process to follow the tutorial step-by-step. Otherwise you may end with a brick - just an expensive paperweight.

Please read post 23 just a few posts above.
You need to copy the complete folder virginator into /usr/bin/.
The easiest way is to use WinSCP (Windows) or Cyberduck (Mac) but you may use other tools. After copying you need to set the permissions, otherwise it wont work at all.
Then use PuTTY (Windows) or Terminal (Mac), log into the iPhone and issue the commands. If you dont want to use those you may start term on the iPhone and issue the commands.

Well I was able to run the app as you directed however this is what happened when I tried to virginize:

    Chacking baseband status.....

ERROR: There was a problem with virginizing.
ERROR: The status return was different then expected.
    ----
More details on this error are stored in /usr/bin/virginator/error.log

    Starting CommCenter.....
    Done.
    Exiting now....
