Default no such file or directory..

    hi,
i've been able to install the payload from iliberty,
but when i try to use the Term-VT100 app, it just doesn't work..
I have done everything exactly as it is written in your post..
also have the 1.0.2 with 03,14.08.

when I start the app, and try to type in cd /usr/bin/, I get the following message:

no such file or directory cd/

    what am I doing wrong??

tnx in advance, and sorry for the trouble...

Did you use iLiberty and the custom payload as described getting it on the iPhone? Check post #1. It is essential to do so, otherwise it wont work.
I am at firmware 1.0.2 but I don't know what baseband the phone had or has, I believe now it is either totally corrupt or has been partially erased.

The guy I bought the phone from said the power went out when he was unlocking it and he could not get it unbricked, so I don't know what has been done to it. It was at 1.1.4 when I got it and the only way I could get it to 1.0.2 was with ibricker. Also I get that damn 1011 error in itunes.

I did use iLiberty+ and the custom payload as outlined in the instructions. I did have to play around with iLiberty to get the payload to install. I had to kick the phone in and out of restore mode to get the payload to install as it would hang on the first and the second pass. Had to kick it into normal mode on the first pass and then kick it into recovery and then back into normal mode on the second pass. But after several hours of perseverance I got the command line app on the springboard.

    Thoughts, suggestions, etc.?

    Thanks

That sounds pretty much fubar. I'm not sure if virginizing helps.
iLiberty sometimes needs to be kicked out of recovery for the first pass but it works. Check with Term if the Virginizer is installed, should be in /usr/bin/. If so, i would give it a shot.
The iPhone looks like dead meat to me, so - but its up to you of cause.

It's a basket case for sure or a $150 stylish paperweight at least.

What is the command to check the directory?

I did cd /usr/bin/ with no errors but once in that dir how do I see what's in it using the command line?

    Thanks

one more: if the script is there and you run it, it will only work if the matching baseband for 1.0.2 is found. If not there the script wont run.

It may even be not there, cause I put in another step when iLiberty installs the payloads wher I check the bb. Has to be there to make sure not to screw up the phone.
