    Looks like you need to learn some basics about iPhone hacking. George Zhuís BLOG offers some of the best basics about iPhone if you are interested.

    Cheers,
    Sara

    That's your opinion..... but I think I have much knowledge about unlocking (that's my opinion) I asked because I am trying this out while I ask the question. I did check both the activate and jailbreak box but my unlock button is still grayed out. As iLiberty is just in for a few hours, just wanted to make sure that I am doing it correctly. Unless you are the creator of the program, you will still have some doubts even though you are an expert

    @macm3l :

    Not because of the jail !!!!

    Because atm the unlock fonction are still not implemented in this software.
    At first this prog, was mainly designed for ipsf users or ipsf geohot users for now.
    The dev of this software has a ipsf iphone and he has done this prog for his personal used, so ipsf was the first aim....
    It's good because most of the dev here forgot this wonderfull way to have the phone permanantly unlocked without to have to patch the baseband on each new version, what is a pain reading some difficulty and problems that people meet patching or rewriting an unlocked baseband (ex, loose wifi, problem sms, etc,.....)
    People should read the dev blog to learn this.

    The good thing with Georges tools is that they are always well polished and functional Once this reaches the unlock sollution i do believe its gonna become the application of choice among novice users...

    hi @ all,

    What iss better to unlock and jailbreak the 1.1.4 ? iPlus or iLiberty ?
    cause iLiberty has some xtra functions, that confusing me, like the 3 unlock Methods, dunno which I have to use, to unlock my 1.1.4.

    iLiberty looks good but I hope it will be ported toMacOS X. The IPSF method needs to have the baseband kickstarted by sending commands to the modem. If for some reason the patch would not work and the script/signal app keeps sending the modem commands it will hardware lock your baseband forever.

    It's fairly simple really.
    Gunlock downgrades the baseband to 4.02.13 and patches it. Only works on bootloader 4.6.
    IPSF method patches the seczone and needs to be kickstarted every time you turn off your phone.
    AnySIM patches the baseband but works only on bootloader 3.9 or 3.9FB.
