iClarified - How to Activate and Jailbreak Your OTB 1.1.2 iPhone Using Windows

Hi,

As promised I've posted the windows tutorial for jailbreaking and activating of the 1.1.2 OTB iPhones. This is NOT an unlock tutorial.

This tutorial is however what you'd need to follow if you are going to use your iPhone as an iPod touch for now. Also you would do this jailbreak if you were going to use the TurboSim type methods for unlock.

The tutorial is very simple and easy to follow so even if you are new to the iPhone stuff you should be fine. I will try to follow it up with a SIM unlock tutorial as soon as i can.

Is there any way to jailbreak the phone without Appsnapp?
I've tried everything and for the life of me I can't get it installed!!!!!!!!!!
I've been trying for two days now and have tried everything everyone has suggested.

I can get to jailbreakme.com, click on Appsnapp, Safari crashes and then it goes back to the activation screen. The screen goes black after about 1 minute (which I assume is sleepmode or whatever) but doesn't reboot.
Ever single time it's the same thing for the past 2 days!!!

Is there really no way around installing Appsnapp?

Can i leave the iPhone with 1.1.1 firmware? Whats the point to upgrade to 1.1.2?

MerDer, if jailbreakme.com, doesn't deliver, try opening a second page (I used google.com) in Safari, before clicking on AppSnapp... X_Slinger advised me of this in a separate thread... it worked for me on 2 iPhones I was jailbreaking out of 1.1.1 for a deBrick...

I've been pulling my hair out at that stage for the past couple of days too... good luck...

same problem, safari can't open the page beacause it can't find the server. Suggestions anyone?

(my wifi connection is not open, could that be te problem?)

OK, managed to install AppSnapp as I now get all the icons on my screen.
Problem, the Installer icon isn't there.

Does this mean I have to restore and start all over again?
