[iBrickr] bricked my iPhone
hi. i decided to use ibrickr to jailbreak my iphone. well, my electricity went out while it was jailbreaking it, and now the iphone repeats the same command line over and over: "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0". i tried restarting it, but all it does is go through what little ibrickr did all over again. is there any way at all besides sending it to apple to get my iphone back? thank you

Your iPhone is not bricked,if you need to ONLY jailbreak use Ziphone,if to unlock/activate/jailbreak use iLiberty or iPlus....

Restore with itunes and then jailbreak with Ziphone... its alot less painful than ibrickr now
-
iBrickr supports ONLY 1.0.2 firmware though....

because itunes nor any other program will recognize it. i can't get to the iphone gui. it repeats that same code very time i restart it. i even let the battery run down.

i know that jailbreaking it voids the warranty, but will apple repair it if i pay the fee or whatever?

turn it off , hold the home button and connect it to the dock while still pressing on the home button, it will boot (keep pressing the home) and it will go into DFU mode. At that point itunes will recognize it and guide you through the restore process. Once done, try to read this forum a little on the different options to unlock or jailbreak etc.

As some of the others has said, your iPhone is fortunately not brickd.
First use iLiberty+ to get your iPhone into recovery mode (if its not allready. It should say in the bottom corner of iLiberty if it is)
Then force restore it from iTunes (I suggest 1.1.4, but its your call).
To force restore simply: Shift + click restore (win) apple button thingie + click restore (mac) and choose the software file youve downloaded (google for link)
Last, but certainly not least, use iLiberty+. Choose "jalbreak, activate, unlock and setup installer (again, your call).
There you have it, an unlocked iPhone, which is certainly not brickd.
Remember, only use this "guide/help" at your own risk, if you use this you update your modem firmware, and your iPhones warranty may expire...

If you take it to Apple they won't fix it and they will void your warranty and it is NOT BRICKED!
All you have to do is restore it using itunes. You can't use any software method to get it into recovery mode as your phone doesn't start.
Just plug it into iTunes and press the home and sleep button till the apple logo apears then let go of sleep and wait for itunes to say it needs to be restored.
If that doesn't work its simply because your timing isn't right - just keep trying until you get it... its simply sorted by restoring to original settings - you just have to get iTunes to see the phone by getting it into restore mode.
iPhone US 8GB
FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
iPhone UK 16GB
FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!
<----If I helped you out, rep points are always nice (thanks for that idea!)
