Generally with that error message if you simply turn off your phone than turn it back on it will work. Lots of people have got that message but after a restart the phone is unlocked and working.

I did that, but i don't understand why it isn't working. When i reloaded it says "Incorrect SIM" , and calls don't go through, loged in to minicom, to check , run AT+CLCK="PN",2, the answer was 1, so it means it was still locked.
I;m using T-mobile Sim in the US.

maybe an alternate method: after restoring to virgin state, follow the steps outlined in unlock for Noobie [windows] guide. It uses a combination of winstaller/ibricker/fast unlock/pacay.

I got that error the first time I tried. I think it has to do with having a virgin phone. I tried again and got the "unable to locate byte" error on my second try. Then I read this: http://www.modmyiphone.com/forums/sh...9610#post39610

It ABSOLUTELY worked after doing the bbupdater and ssh'ing into the phone. I can make and receive calls, however now I'm working on the edge and bluetooth issue.
