Hi. I bought the iphone when in came out in June. Everything has worked great. About a month ago, i decided to try 3rd party apps and downloaded iBrickr 0.8. I tried to install and jailbreak my iphone, but when pressing the OK button after plugging at the end of an iTunes restore, the app wouldn't do anything. Tried pressing OK button several times. I chalked it down to a Vista issue and just forgot about it. What I didn't know iBrickr was doing was changing my IMEI to the 0049... number.

When 1.1.1 came out, I just did it as I didn't think I had hacked my phone. Phone upgraded and everything was fine for a couple of weeks. One night I forgot to plug it in and the battery died. I plugged into my PC the next morning to charge and got the "Activate iPhone" screen as well as the Incorrect SIM message. It took me awhile to figure out what was wrong, but needless to say I now have a brick that Apple will not help me with.

I read the article on the "Potentially Idiot Proof Guide to Downgrading Your BB". I successfully downgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 and installed the installer.app (at least the message on my PC said it was successful). Now, I need to install the BSD, SSH, and Community Sources from Installer to follow the steps to unbricking my phone. My problem is the phone will not go to the main screen so I can use Installer. It''s stuck on the "Activate iPhone" screen as well as the Incorrect SIM message. Also, in downgrading from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, it wiped out my WiFi settings and no it doesnę connect wifi and do not have an IP address to use with WINSCP to connect.

How do I proceed to unlock the phone so I can do the downgrade of the baseband? Many thanks for helping me.
