I think that 14 days ago you should have known that there was no OOB FW 1.1.2 unlock at that time; so unless you were trying to get an earlier version, I do not understand your endeaver.

You could take them first back to Apple, all they can do is say "No!", or take them back. They cannot do anything to you for buying them.

Well I kept them so long thinking an unlock solution was imminent. When I finally realized it was a lot further than we all thought, I opted for a return. I still have faith in the dev team, it's just not worth risking $1700 in possibly unlockable iPhones when I can just buy them all again once a solution comes out for OOB 1.1.2.

Wouldn't be so sure about that, it's possible that a unlock is only possible when 1.1.3 comes out. Not sure you're able to get 1.1.2 phones then...

Good point, but we just have to hope they don't ship with a new bootloader. As long as the bootloader stays the same we should be able to downgrade 1.1.3 to 1.1.2 and go from there.

Your best bet is sell them on eBay. I just saw what was obviously a 1.1.2 sealed iPhone go for $430 (for some reason). I assume the buyer -thought- it was unlocked but you know how it goes - just be upfront that they are sealed, new phones and you can probably recover your investment.
You seem to have forgotten that there is still an AT&T /Itunes unlocking and some ppl will buy them unlocked or not! You made it look like it is a scam selling new sealed Iphones, the world tilted on its head!

I know that if you are willing to ship the phones abroad, they are easily sold for more than 400USD.. Here in Norway where i live, a locked 1.1.2 otb is sold for about 850$, YES, the locked 1.1.2 otb!

The reason people are selling them for so much, is because they are very hard to get, since apple doesn't ship them outside US.

This is wrong, unfortunately. Once the new firmware is out, only the 04.02/BL4.6 phones will become unlockable. 1.1.3 buyers will again have to wait for version 1.1.4 (assuming the bootloader hasn't changed and the loophole hasn't been closed).

That's exactly what I said. If the bootloader stays the same then we can always unlock by downgrading the firmware and baseband to a previous version. If the bootloader changes then we're screwed.

I thought that there won't be a bootloader update? Somebody said it would be too dangerous in case of some sort of current interruption. So they won't change the bootloader by software update.
