Well. I bought an unlocked iPhone from one of my friends. He has T-Mobile as do I. Everything has been working fine for me for about 2 weeks now and I love the iphone. Problem: I accidently pressed the "downgrade" button and it said "Downgrade firmware to 1.0.2.." Now i pressed start, again not noticing anything, just watching a little TV!!!

So it said downgrade complete and now it says "Incorrect Sim, only approved SIM cards can be used with the iPhone" and under settings there isn't a "Carrier" button anymore and the VPN says not configured. The Ipod works, games pictures etc etc works, but no calling. Did i just "brick" my phone? and if I did i see a lot of things about unbricking and restoring to unlock again. I know quite alot about computers but im so lost with all of the jargon of these iPhones. I also saw some where that if my IMEI (Btw, no idea what that is) is 0409 something im screwed but mine is so am i saved? Any help would be nice and thanks in advance!

delete your imei asap. u shouldn't be posting that.

i would go read on how to upgrade and re-jailbreak everything. and learn to not click stuff like that.

Nice, thats like my Social Security number for iphones huh? Yeah im not clued in. SO
I understand the re-jailbreaking to unlock it and whatnot but upgrade to what exactly? And another question that i should have added on, in Feb im switching to AT&T, will this now locked iphone work then with AT&T?
