Default How to Upgrade to 1.1.1, not 1.1.2 (and not restore to 1.1.1)

Well, I have an interesting dilemna. I had upgraded to 1.1.1, unlocked and everything was working great. Then, I installed iLang program and for whatever reason it set my version back to 1.0.2 (??). Even iTunes says I have version 1.0.2 now instead of 1.1.1.

I want to just upgrade to 1.1.1 because I want to retain my Contacts and SMS messages. I think a Restore+SHIFT and manually selecting the 1.1.1 update will wipe these out.

How do I UPGRADE again to 1.1.1, because now my iTunes says 1.1.2 (sigh).

Xoxoteiro? heheheh Pense num caba da peste!

Well... I think the newer version of iTunes alredy backs up your stuff (messages, etc). But just to make sure, copy everything in /var/root (excepting the Media folder which will store your music/videos), then use shift+update. If that doesn't work, just restore (shift+ resore to make sure).

Since you have 1.1.1's moden firmware, iTunes won't retunr any errors during the upgrade.

    Cheers.

Obrigado amigo, muita xoxota linda para vc!!

I did a SHIFT+Update and was able to point to the 1.1.1 firmware version. It updated the software, I re-activated and had all my videos, SMS messages and Phone contacts there. Very strange what that iLang program did, but at least I am back.
