Can you please edit your initial post and give an estimate how long touch free alpha is supposed to run. I'm at 15 minutes and "patching ipod flash image" 1300 times. I'm about to give up.

From 1.0.2 unlocked & error "Incorrect SIM", i had retore it to 1.1.1 -> downgrade 1.0.2 (both firmware & baseband) and use anySIM1.0.2 but not done. Get old error (My SIM inserted when run anySIM)
After, i revigrined my phone to 1.0.2 with Geohots server, 100% done but when up to 1.1.1 IMEI still at 0049+++ . Now i'm stop here (1.1.1 with IMEI 0049..) because i think cannot continue to run anySIM 1.1.1, 99% fail
Can I help u about this? I want to understans, after revirgin 1.0.2 , IMEI will change immediately or only change when update to 1.1.1

I have finished this step
a. copy SimFree.app to /Applications
b. chmod +x bbsimfree kill rm sh

2. Change your DNS server in Wi-Fi settings to 129.21.116.152 (required)

3. Run IPSF; it won't work if your flash isn't original so bbupdate first(the fw version doesn't matter)

But my IPSF on my phone show "unlock failed. Error unlock is currently unauthorized or unavailable for this phone. Please contact your retailer" whereas, the instruction result must must be:
"a. it will say invalid token/error update token, this is normal
b. if it says something else, that isn't normal"

My IMEI currently is 0049 9901 0640 000 instead of its original. because the IPSF unsucceeded, i cann't download my EMEI bin file to process next step.

Can somebody help?

Sorry but I do not have a clue what is mentioned in the guide,

For example I struggle with things like SSH..is that openSSH?

1. ::First u need to reflash "messy" baseband::

1. Download - http://r_apidshare.com/files/63950172/flash.rar, unrar it to desktop,u need "flash" folder

2. SSH to the iPhone via WinSCP(name: root ,password: dottie), to iPhone root (/) copy(drag it) "flash" folder downloaded from above, window will pop up,click "More", set permission to 0755, click copy.

3. Close WinSCP, run Putty and log in(name: root ,password: dottie)

point 2 for example: SSH to iphone via winSCP... This is chinese for me.

And I guess many users who even do not look on forums likes these are struggling. Is there any unlock and re-activiation tool coming which is just a clickable /exe file? Or is this a stupid question?

For now I feel this sophisticated way of unlocking is not for me as i am not an IT man.

trying to install bsd subsystem via installer.app.. i just finished the whole upgrade to 1.1.1 and i am having problems installing bsd subsystem.. what can i do to fix this problem???.. =(

For some reason, I am unable to connect to http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com/
I thought it might be my wifi but it's full bar and I also tried opening google, and a variety of other sites and they work just fine. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it?
