How to un-install the SSH the ULTIMATE 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 installed onto my iPhone?
How do you un-install the SSH that the ULTIMATE 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 installed onto my iPhone?
I deleted the SSH.app from applications whilst in cyberduck, but when I reboot the phone it still allows SSH (though the app is missing from SB). I installed services.app to turn off SSH, but that doesn't seem to actually turn off the SSH since I can still use it even when services.app says it's off.
Thus, how do I un-install it really? Info would be appreciated. Further, does leaving SSH "on" do anything to battery life of the phone?
Cheers.

I Just finished commenting on this one.
the SSH installed does not register with Services or iToggle. I have to use the SSH software provided to turn it off. I also cannot see it in SysInfo as a process.

Weird. I'd like to get rid of it.

I would like to uninstall the ssh.app, keep ssh installed on the machine and have services.app toggle it on/off. There may need to be an update to services.app. Anyone know how to get installer.app to "see" ssh.app so it can be uninstalled through the installer.app and not manually?

there was some people looking ino this because the version that iNdependence installed was a different than OpenSSH and DropBear. the Services app uses the name of the service to locate it. it currently uses OpenSSH and DropBear SSH. all the other have to be hard coded to be recognized. one of the problems is that Ulctl does not work on 1.1.2 so I have not been able to determine the actual name of the new process.

The problems you guys are experiencing is because the daemon for ssh is still loaded and controlled by the launchd daemon. What you need to do is download the UIctl.app from Installer, and use it to unload -w the sshd plist file. That way the ssh daemon won't automatically restart after you've toggled it off.
The problem with Services.app (and iToggle, since it's based on the same code) is that they don't use launchctl to do the toggling. This means two things: a) any changes you make won't stick through a restart, and b) it can't start certain services like Bonjour when you start your ssh (or firefly, or afp, or whatever).
I'd like to get in touch with the developer of iToggle, to see if he'd be willing to change the guts of the app. It'd be absolutely perfect if only it did its thing through launchctl.

Try NetServices from copycoders. IMHO it does a better job toggling stuff on/off...
