    I just noticed that my secpack uploads as secpack.bin

    I am in windows how do I delete the bin if I cant see it?

    Type at your phone connected using putty:

    mv /your/path/secpack.bin /your/path/secpack

    Notice: Change /your/path/ by the path used by you in the phone for upload the files.

    Ok, i think this may sound like a noob question.
    But did you remove from folder optins in control panel Hide extensions for known file type?

    so in regards to my guide if you did it like that, then it would be
    mv /usr/bin/secpack.bin /usr/bin/secpack

    Also, in windows if you go tools->folder options

    and check show known file extensions, then it will have .bin at the end in file explorer and you can rename it there.

    melbmoon,
    rename "secpack.bin" to just "secpack"
    should work

    is there any reason in putty i cant type past 3 characters? i remember seeing the problem someone else in the forum but can't find it now

    easy mistake!

    it's all good.
    now i'm just waiting for the DEV team to release a step by step guid to upgrade to 1.1.1 for us BSOD box owners.
