Hi, mv its the unix command to rename/move, the syntax is:

    mv original_name new_name

So in your putty/terminal/ssh screen type:

    mv secpack.bin secpack

But this work only if uploaded the secpack.bin to your phone on the first place. Did that? Did you went to the folder before changing the name?

thanks tsialex.=) hope u can further help me.

Let me say I did a stupid mistake but I am so much learned now.=) Just a few questions though..

I have a stock 1.1.1 iphone and restored it to 1.0.2 and tried to unlock it with iUnlock and when it didnt work, I restored again and tried anysim. After 2 tries, I decided to READ what could be the wrong. NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT I DIDNT KNOW THEN THAT MY PHONE WAS A fwv 1.1.1 so my baseband remains the same. WHICH MAKES ME QUALIFY TO DO THIS RIGHT? because i was never able to change the baseband yet or do any sucesful unlock.

so my main question is if I have a v1.1.1 iphone and i DOWNGRADE INCLUDING THE BASEBAND by following the posted directions, can i unlock it using the old iunlock/anysim method? thanks. pls reply as soon as you can.=)

Are you now able to send and receive calls and sms?

If yes could you (or anyone else who knows) tell me what method you took to jailbreak / activate your 1.1.1?

    Quick intro:
I had a 1.0.2 iPhone and accidently upgraded it to 1.1.1. I've since downgraded to 1.0.2 and re-did the baseband (In About, the Version shows "1.0.2 (1C28)" and Modem Firmware shows "03.14.08_G").
    So that's all good.

    Problem:
It seems no matter what method of unlocking I try, I am still coming up with this message:

    Incorrect SIM
This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM.

If it matters, I am using Rogers (Canada) as my provider and SIM card.
I've done a bit of searching but I'm not able to find a solution. Has anyone run into this problem and been able to resolve it?
