    8. run ieraser (just type ieraser) this will WIPE your baseband, given a file "secpack" is in the same directory and this is a version 4 secpack.
Thank you for the guide. I got my 4GB iPhone restored perfectly. (This is a huge bargain at $180.00. Because the previous owner unlocked it then updated to FW 1.1.1 which rendered it useless for the last few weeks; and he got disgusted with it and sold it on craigslist.)

    Thanks again!!!

    1. Put ICE03.14.08_G.eep and ICE03.14.08_G.fls into /usr/bin/

    2. Download the Secpack of baseband firmware 4.0 (Can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/2dyq25 - you will need to rename this to secpack)

    3. Download ieraser2 from http://www.fink.org/ieraser/ or from Geohot's blog.

    4. copy over ieraser2 and the renamed secpack into /usr/bin/

    5. SSH into the phone (user: root pass: dottie) and stop the CommCenter by typing
    launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter

    6. run "bbupdater -v"

    7. type "cd /usr/bin/" and then "chmod +x ieraser"

    8. run ieraser (just type ieraser) this will WIPE your baseband, given a file "secpack" is in the same directory and this is a version 4 secpack.

    9. run " bbupdater -v " again. it will not find any firmware now.

    10. run " bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls "

    11. run " bbupdater -v " it will tell you you run version 3.14

    12. from here use any of your favorite programs like ibrickr to install anySim 1.2 and successfully recover your iphone from a 1.1.1 update.

This guide was written by Stealth to make it easier for people to understand, all of the original info was found @ http://code.google.com/p/iphone-elit...radingBaseband

Thanks to those people who found this and shared it.

My phone is working on a Rogers network after following this method.

YouTube, Phone Calls, VoiceMail and Texting are working without any problems!

**Edit - As new posts come in that save people alot of time, ill be adding them here to reduce the redundancy of questions**

Here is a rar file i just created containing the ICE03.14.08_G .eep and .fls files, the secpack, and the ieraser that i used.

Thanks Serpy for pointing out that i forgot to mention to copy the secpack into the /usr/bin/ folder!

In the steps outlined by coppernicc:

    1. Downgraded using instructions at http://iphone.fiveforty.net/wiki/ind...1.1.1_to_1.0.2
I used method A. Timing is critical to put the phone in DFU mode, you need a stopwatch and press home+sleep for exactly 10 seconds, release sleep and keep pressing home until iTunes notices the phone in recovery mode.

    2. Activate, Jailbreak, install ssh with independence

    3. Downgraded baseband per the instructions in this thread. Had to download bbupdater from elsewhere (can't recall where, had it on my Mac from previous unlock)

    4. unlocked using instructions on http://iphone.unlock.no/old2.htm
This is a good old manual method to which I'm used to, have not tried anySIM

Only step 2 needs greater clearification - can anyone elaborate or point to a post or tutorial with more info...activate/jailbreak as 1..0.2 or 1.1.1 - if anyone has done this with an OTB 1.1.1 - could you please detail step 2. Thanks

tell me please how to rename the secpack, because when i upload it to usr/bin it shows as secpack.bin ........ i am assuming that is why i keep getting the bus error.... stealth clearly states to place the secpack in the same folder as the ieraser and others .... i have done that how difficult is it to actually to that....

so now can someone please state or atleast pm me the link for the renamed secpack and the working ieraser...

thanks in advance i hope you know frustating it is when you know that you have done everything as stated and others are able to do it an i cant, wow massive frustrations

    help help help please
