Hi, I would like to buy an iPhone on monday in Atlanta.
My plan is to buy one and open it right into the Apple Store.
I found a code that allows to see the firmware version, it's: *3001#12345#*
However, I don't see a number like 1.1.1 but instead I see a number with alphabetical characters too. My old phone (1.0.2) shows: 03.14.08_G
Is this number the same on 1.1.1 iPhone? Or does it change?

lol yeah sorry.... i got a bricked iphone (bricked under hardware unlock) , will install 1.1.1 on it and let you know if i get the same modem thingi

Dialing *3001... Is not 100% reliable for all fw versions, but in this case (1.1.1 or not) you can trust the result. If you buy it this weekend, the chance of getting a 1.1.1 is still low
