Any recomendations will be appreciated, i ve been trying since last night. Its my friends phone and it seems like he bought it in week 27 activated it with AT&T then updated from itunes as the upgrades come along. How can i unlock this phone? I ve tried going back to 1.1.1 then baseband was 4.... I ve tried to virginize it and flash it back to 3.... but i couldnt.. I dont want to try anysim because it can mess up the whole thing. Maybe it wont but i want to make sure that i am safe with it.. So if anybody had this problem or anyone who has a solution for this, please help me.. Thank you

Just follow this guide. Start by restoring it back to 1.1.2 factory settings. You won't have any problems dealing with virginizing the phone or anything if it has never been unlocked before and once you use 'BB Downgrader (1.1.2)' you wont have a problem using anySIM 1.1

no need to post twice about this...one will suffice. now you say the phone was bought in week 27, that means it possibly came with fw1.01. additionally, what do you want to do with this phone? if you want to unlock it, you will have to run anySIM, if you just want to install third party apps, you will need to jailbreak it.
