Good point..
If you have then the tutorial to check bootloader version using winscp and putty is all you need to do to find out your BL the question is why winscp doesn't connect to your phone.
1) Do you have the right IP
2) Is your wifi's not connected
3) Has the root password been changed from alpine
4) Are you selecting SCP file protocol box before connection
edit: and have you got BSD subsystem and Open SSH installed in installer

It wont hurt to try.
OR
check your bootloader
Taken from the FAQ:
Also:
If your iPhone is activated and jailbroken, just go to installer, add this source: http://www.trejan.com/irepo
then install BBInfo under Utility category.

ok successfully unlocked the phone using tutorial on iphone.unlock.no and now it has 1.1.1 firmware but can i update the firmware to 1.1.2 and still have it unlocked or not?

yes it's possible to upgrade and unlock using a specific version of anysim but honestly i wouldn't mess around anymore if i were you. i'd settle for a 1.0.0 firmware if i could only have it unlocked i say don't risk it if you want my opinion even though it's possible because i was able to jailbreak at 1.1.1 and update to 1.1.2 and keep it jailbroken at 1.1.2 and unlocked it. the tutorial is right here on this site but i'm too lazy to look for it you'll find it if you trully have interest in it.

You must install Oktoprep (From installer) on 1.1.1 before upgrading.
Then you can upgrade to 1.1.2 and use jailbreak 1.1.2.

There is no such tool BBInfo anymore. But there´s an app "Hardware Info" at the above repo which contains the functionality of BBInfo.
