first you restore your phone back to 1.0.2 and jailbreak it.

with apptap then install the installer.app, community-sources (?), bsd subsystem and openSSH

now download old baseband firmware here http://**********.com/files/55991876...mware.zip.html

with SFTP oder SCP copy the three files into the directory /usr/bin

open Terminal and establish a SSH-Connection to your iPhone
enter the following in Terminal
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x bbupdater
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
bbupdater -f 314.fls -e 314.eep
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

restart your iPhone
now check if your baseband is downgraded by going to settings -> general ->modem firmware, here it should say 03.14.08_G
now unlock your phone with anysim or terminal or whatever.


please some of you who got 1.1.1 phones try this out

I dont think this will work - unless these files are somehow modified to write over the new modem 4.xx file,if these are the files coming from stock 1.02 firmware then as said, it has been tried b4 by several ppl and it doesnt work there's no way to erase the 4.xx modem file because we dont hav the sec pack from the latest firmware.

It does NOT work, there is no "official" confirmation from anybody involved in iPhone unlocking. I tried this myself dozends of times with different variations and it didn't work. I don't know why people lie because I really doubt that this ever worked. It can't work with two iPhones worldwide and not work with thousands others, this is BS. I really don't want to accuse anybody but unless we have confirmation from people involved in iPhone unlocking, we're just loosing our time riding a horse without legs.

If you think people don't lie about this stuff, think again. Yesterday I visited a friend who had a relative at his house. This guy didn't know that I'm somehow involved with iPhone stuff, so he proudly showed us his new FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone, directly from a "special friend" at APPLE USA. I didn't buy this for a second and after I showed him "mine" (locked but activated), he suddenly was very very quiet. I asked him to let me look at his iPhone, I wanted to check the FW version and other stuff. He refused(!) using another fishy explenation: his phone is actually a prototype (*lol*) for the upcoming T-Mobile iPhone introduction and he is not allowed to show to anybody. Funny part is: when he showed off his iPhone before he knew that I had one too, he showed us the display and the touchscreen display and for a couple of seconds, I was able to see the Installer.app and the AnySIM.app. Stupid people everywhere...

I was wondering 1.0.1 containing the old baseband, so downgrade to 1.0.1 and only update it to 1.0.2

i wanted to do so, but i wondering where can i get 1.0.1 firmware?

A short "stupidity" update: today I got a call from a friend from these two german US tourists I bought my two iPhones from (they sold them to me back in July because they didn't know that they can't be used as phones without an unlock which wasn't available at that time). He bought an iPhone 8GB a couple of days ago in Florida (Fashion or Florida Mall on the bill, I have to look it up, I don't remember?) and when he bought it, the sales person told him that it will not work in Germany, not even with a hack because Apple has changed the "software".
This guy still bought it and today he called me to sell it to me because he can't activate it. I told him that it is pretty easy if it is V 1.0.2 and slightly more difficult if it is 1.1.1 but he wouldn't be able to use the phone functions for a while. He was pretty much upset that he even bought it because he decided to go for an "official" T-Mobile Germany iPhone. Long story, short outcome: he sold me the originally wrapped iPhone 8GB for 300 Euro. No gain for him, no loss for me.

Now here's the REAL fun part: this phone had FW 1.0.2 on it and for more than an hour now, I'm again a happy iPhone PHONE user. Now I can do all the "nasty" stuff with my "old" locked but activated bb fw 4.x iPhone without having to worry that I brick my iPhone forever. I'm a happy camper again.
