Default How does iNdependence 1.2.3 work?

I upgraded and activated prior to the release of iNdependence 1.2.2 (and 1.2.3), but I see alot of questions and error messages related to using the newest versions of iNdepedence. It's clear from reading the help file of the program that it does (a) preparation for upgrade, (b) upgrade-related tasks (jailbreaking, activation, etc.), and (c) post-upgrade tasks. What I'm wondering is the following:

    1. When iNdependence creates a symlink prior to upgrading, what is the filename of the Media backup? (MediaBackup or Media.old or something else)

    2. Does iNdepedence bring its own 1.0.2 lockdownd file with it, or does it just use the lockdownd file on each person's 1.0.2 phone? (meaning, if the person is using the patched/"factory-activated" lockdownd file at 1.0.2 will there be an activation error at 1.1.1)

    3. When iNdependence does its post-upgrade tasks, does it back up the symlink that was created during its pre-upgrade work? (i.e., when "MediaBackup" or "Media.old" is changed back to "Media", is the symlink "Media" renamed as "Media_sym" or is it just deleted?)

I'd have to restore and re-upgrade a few times to get the answers to this myself, but knowing the answers to these questions might help in analyzing the error messages some people get while trying to upgrade and activate, so any help would be appreciated.

after doing the LONG handed manual upgrade I thought to have fun with 1.2.3 a few minutes ago - it's SO easy even Stevie Wonder could do it

When swapping SIMs, I used to de-activate, reactivate, re-jailbreak my phone with 1.2.1a. Took < 10 mins..
