How do "professional" unlockers manage to do it (check out auction number 280171427812 on eBay)? What have they got that we don't? And it seems it's genuine...

There is nothing this person is doing that you could not do yourself. I would ask him if he really is unlocking 1.1.2 UK phones and then you can gamble £300 if you want. Personally I would just do it myself and if you need to use another sim not o2 then wait till there is a way to do this.

What this guy is saying is he has the holy grail that many have been seeking. My guess is he has nothing of the sort.

I had to do it so I just emailed him on eBay and ask if he can unlock my UK iphone v1.1.2 with Bootloader 4x.

Why do you believe those ebay auctions ?

Dev-team is unable to unlock, elite-team too, and you belive in ebay sellers ?

I bet 99% of them use standard GUI applications like idemocracy and things like that... they don't even know what they are doing...

Ask what version of the bootloader he's able to unlock, I BET he won't even know what a bootloader is...
