Question How do I virginize a 1.1.1 OTB. PLEASE READ FOR DETAILS

    1.1.1 OTB

    Ran

http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12817 ( [REALLY ULTIMATE GUIDE for Windows] Jailbreak-Unlock-Activate-YouTube Iphones 1.1.1)

uploaded anysim. Made a really stupid mistake of not installing BSD subsystem.

got the NO SERVICE error, but the wifi was still working and the imie numbers were still the same. The phone starting buzzing every 15 seconds as if it was receiving a text message.

Even at this point I still continued and uploaded exchanged lockdown. Still no luck.

At this point I decide to do a restore through itunes.
Phone gets restored. All is great then I run Carnival after doing the tift exploit
by this point i am assuming that the phone is still unlocked. so I change the lock down files, assuming this will work and even installed bsd substyem
again the buzzing everything 15 seconds comes back. This time I restore via the iphone but again same problem

    This time I go with
    http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11833
[ULTIMATE GUIDE] Jailbreak/Activate/Unlock Virgin iPhones v1.1.1
so before I run this I go through the restore process via itunes.
all is fine untill I go through the whole process and even upload anySim but do not run because the phone should be already unlocked again i nstall bsd substym
again the same thing happens with NO SERVICE and the buzzing that comes out every 15 seconds or so.

So i'm asking do I revirginize by restore the phone to 1.0.2 or is there a way virginize 1.1.1 with out restoring back to 1.0.2

    Any help will be appreciated.

What method should I use. I have been searching the forum for 2 days, but not sure which one would work best for me.

    Thanks

    Question

can anybody verify that if I run this

    http://*****************************...p.rar&can=2&q=

It's called oneSIm (Download: It does the OPPOSITE of AnySIM 1.1. Patches the baseband back to normal and locked)

So if run this and restore with anysim, I should have 1.1.1 OTB

    any thoughts

Hi I'm having a similar problem. I used the ultimate guide to unlock the phone (new 1.1.1 OTB), however I'm having the no service issue.

I restored, ran Carnival, inserted SIM and still I'm having the no service problem.

By this point I think its a hardware problem, because I don't get any speaker feedback from the phone at all and I accurately followed all of the steps.

My question, since I ran anySim 1.1, would restoring to 1.0.2 cause any problems? Could you please describe in detail how you went about the whole process?

Also, what carrier were you using? Did you activate it with AT&T/Cingular in order for Apple to exchange it? Because I thought they refused service on phones that weren't activated.

    Thanks

    Hey there!

Did you just restore or did you virginize(ONESIM) as well?

I have 1.1.1 OTB, i followed the Ultimate guide and ended up locking and activating the phone but with no service.

Could you please tell me the actual guide and the steps involved?

It might be worth taking a look at my guide:

    [GUIDE] Virginize 1.0.2 > Restore 1.1.1. > Jailbreak & Activate > Unlock 1.1.1. no PC
    http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14384

If yours was 1.1.1. out of the box then just start from the step : Restore virgin iPhone to firmware 1.1.1.

If this does not work then I guess your other main option would be to try and downgrade the iPhone to 1.0.2 and the baseband down to 03.14.08_G. Then either keep the iPhone like that or attempt an upgrade to 1.1.1.

There is a very good guide here to help you with that:
[GUIDE] Downgrade v1.1.1 to v1.0.2 + Fix Seczone (Automated) & Upgrade to v1.1.1
