hello guys,

how can I revirginise an 1.1.2 OTB iphone? I can get access to installer/wifi and do downgrades/restores if needed.

But I cannot get ziphone/ijailbreak to work since the phone is half broken. On iphone.unlock.no they said the "virginisation" is for 1.0.2/1.1.1 (I presume it's for BL3.9). Can I run it on a BL4.6, or simply, 1.1.2 OTB?

No you can't run "virginisation".
But why can't you do a full restore thru iTunes?

i asked and the answer was that i should revirginise my iphone because the baseband is messed up. i've also heard that by restoring to 1.1.3 it will solve the problem too. my iphone did something strange and then "no signal" kicked in... tried bricktool, numerous restores and nothing worked...

I think with ziphone u can do it...

use the refurbish button with ziphone 2.5

AAAH too late! i've already downgraded my bootloader!

it's so weird.

- iphone crashed on 1.1.3 BL 4.6, the springboard just keeps on crashing.
- so i thought it was the end of the world and i put it back to 1.1.1, then 1.1.2
- can't use iJailbreak nor Ziphone to activate/jailbreak/unlock, something wrong "with the firmware/baseband not recognised"
- no signal problem... ooo, nothing worked, including bricktool, works like an iTouch
- didn't work and i was going to sell it "as is" on local listings
- restored to 1.1.3 so the guy who will buy the phone can activate it himself
- tried last time to restore it to 1.1.1, not working
- seeked help from other people, saying I should revirginise my phone
- found out only BL 3.9 can do that, so I downgraded to BL 3.9
- baseband and everything else downgraded, unlocked with anySIM
- but then found out on this thread #2 and #4... why not just do 1.1.3 restore... and ziphone "refurbish"... ooo. too late.
- going to upgrade to 1.1.4 (the iclarified method with BL 3.9)

so, after this experience I felt regretted downgrading the BL... and what I've discovered is that ziphone BL downgrade works. money buys you knowledge. also, when doing an anySIM unlock you must have your NON-AT&T sim in the phone. otherwise it will (I think) corrupt the sim card and iphone/itunes will say the sim card is invalid. when i did a full 1.1.3 restore in DFU the sim card problem went away and is now recognised as an official sim.

now I'm looking forward to the 4.6 Geomod. I hope they'll make "bootloader converter" - 3.9 to 4.6 to 4.6Geomod, so that any iPhone out there can change their bootloader as they wish. But now it seems like it's for only 4.6... looks like i'll have to sell this phone anyway, when 3G comes out perhaps.
