How to activate iphone without sim and home button
Hi guys,
I'm in a weird situation, I had an iphone 2g with firmware 3.1.2 jailbreaked with redsnow
My sister, unfortunately, have upgrade it with itunes to 3.1.3
Now I can't activate it because I have not a sim card (I'm italian)
and I can't use redsnow because my home button doesn't work and I can't put it in DFU
but with my italian sim card I can call so the problem is activate it (or remove the screen that invite to connect with itunes)
thanks

Only solution I can think of is to get your home button repaired.

I'm no hardware expert. All I can tell you is that (unless you happen to discover an unreleased iBoot exploit) there is no software solution to your problem.

I had a similar situation with my 2G (broken power button). There is a windows program out there called DFU.exe i googled it and found it that can help with that. Also if you are feeling abusive you can always start a restore in itunes and rip the cable out when u see it flash to white
lol. Hope it helps

Oh yeah.. good point - it was a 2G, so that might work.. DFU.exe doesn't work on newer iPhone models.

try these steps
1) use phone book sim for activation
2) jailbreak using jailbreakme.com (or) spirit
3) launch cydia and install lockdown patch
