Default How about "updating" the Baseband

    Greez @ all

How about the Idea to take the 314 baseband software, modify it (but how) so that Iphone thiks it's now newer as the newest baseband software and then update it somehow.

It's just an Idea. But sometimes it helps...

    cheers

    I tried that way,

Opened 314.fls with notepad and renamed DEV_ICE 03.14.08 to 04.02.02 , saved tried to flash with bbupdater but error was file size mismach

I compared sizes of original 314.fls and modified one, they were exactly the same sizes !!!

    Any ideas ?

    hi bequa

nice to see that I'm not alone with this Idea. But maybe notpad is not the correct tool to edit such a file.

did you try it with some other text- or a even hex editor?

I think that way is not that easy as it looks, but it could be a start.
Hopefully we get more answers here...

There is probably a check-sum somewhere in the file pertaining to the version number.
