Default Help with OTB 1.1.2 BT 3.X?

I bought an iphone over ebay and sold it again to someone. Unfortunately he might have updated the firmware to 1.1.3.

It was jailbroken and used stealthsim with 1.1.2 .

He now says that it doesn't work and has frozen etc.

Basically if he has updated to 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 how can i help him unlock it?

    1) Where can he see what firmware version it's running and what bootloader.

    2) What will i need to unlock it once again.

    3) I've seen a few video guides for older firmwares is there any video guide through for 1.1.3 or 1.1.4.

also is there different methods in unlocking OTB 1.1.2 than 1.1.3 ?

Restore to 1.1.4 and use ziphone 2.5 to activate, jailbreak and unlock. He can now use it without stealthsim.

    1) For firmware On the iPhone start the phone app and switch to the keypad and type *3001#12345#*,go to versions, and he will get something like this 04.03G it is 1.1.3, if 04.04G it is 1.1.4 (04.02 for 1.1.2 and 04.01 for 1.1.1, just in case)

Bootloader it some kind a different story you should tell him to go to installer and add source hackthatphone.com/1.xml, and after refreshing sources in folder hack thatphone tools he will find BBInfo, Install it and run it, it will give you BL version, and FW also

    2) To DFU (NOT NORMAL restore with iTunes+Cable logo)RESTORE to desired version (1.1.3 or 1.1.4, he can download firmware files from here http://iphone.unlock.no/#restore-firmware-files), use ziphone (www.ziphone.org) to jailbreak, activate and unlock (he will not need his stealth sim anymore)

    3) regarding videos there is a quite a few, go to YouTube and serach for 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 unlock, and you will get plenty of it , anyway here is a link to a tutorial on www.hackthatphone.com with video ....

http://www.hackthatphone.com/113/iph...t_yet_mac.html but this is for mac, also on www.ziphone.org lots of videos ....

    Hope this help you ....

EDIT: changed Zibri's web site url ....

Connect your iPhone to iTunes, you will be notified there is the latest version 1.1.4 for your iPhone and it will ask what to to, select download (Note:file is 160+MB) and update (whatever) .... and after download (depending on your connection might be quite a while) iTunes will put your iPhone in so called DFU mode and UPGRADE your fw ... after sucessfuly restored, you will be notified, and then you can proceed with others steps from previous post(s)

Hope you will manage it ... first time is allways the hardest

Might be the best to follow THIS GUIDE : http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhone_User_Guide.pdf
