help needed please
Hi,
I’ve just purchased an iPhone while on holiday in the USA. I want to unlock the phone so it is available for use on the VODAFONE and O2 networks back in the UK.
Ideally, I’d like the unlock the phone before I return home next week because if I’m successful in unlocking it then I will buy another. If I am not then I may return the phone to the store.
However, I’m something of a newbie to this and, therefore, want to make sure I’m doing the right thing.
I have used the key sequence *3001#12345#* method to check the firmware of the phone which is 1.1.1.
Can somebody please guide me through the unlocking of the phone, preferably step-by-step, starting with reverting the firmware back to 1.0.2. The phone cannot be activated because, as I explained earlier, I have purchased it for use on Vodafone and O2 in the UK.
I have already downloaded AnySim 1.2 and have searched through the forums but I am not sure what to do first. I am worried about turning the phone into a brick!
Any help will be gratefully received.
Thanks
John

Honestly, I'll wait for the unlock for the 1.1.1. firmware. It will be available at some point, in the near future. Just be patient

Don't do it !! it wont work. Leave it be till until a full solution for 1.1.1 is found.
