Unfortunately, I couldn't wait anymore and I've tried the HW unlocking method (although, I wasn't prepared yet and didn't have the time to learn it thoroughly...).

While doing the HW unlock, my internet connection crashed, before I managed to upload some of the files (I had the terminal installed though). anyway, I decided to open the phone while waiting for my internet connection to come back....

But, in the meantime my Iphone wifi connection went down and I thought that if I'll restore it, it will come back (how stupid could I be?! I suppose doin' it @ 2am didn't help much...). Anyway, since then I'm in big trouble.
Instead of solving the wifi problem, I got stuck with the activation screen, without the ability to reactive it because the phone simply "announced" it can't make any calls.. ("repair needed"). I tried to restore it to any version possible (first 1.1.1 / 1.1.2 -> then 1.0.2 and since nothing went good - I decided to try 1.1.3, knowing it will probably prevent me from turning my iphone into a phone for the next...who knows how many months). the problem is that none of this things solved my problem!!!
I got into an infinite restore loops without getting anything else than the Itunes logo, asking me to restore (none of the restores worked...). I had many kinds of errors :1011,1064,1,9 etc....
eventually, I found on these forums a way to bring it back to the "repair needed" status (->1.1.3->Ibrick 1.0.2 to DFU -> 1.1.2->1.1.2 -> Ibrick reboot).

But I still can't get through the "repair needed " thing. when i go to field test, It don't give any information about the firmware (blank) and the only thing I can see there is the LCD panel thing or so.....

Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

1.0.2 -> can't downgrade using Itunes.
1.1.1 -> can't activate / jailbreak
1.1.2 -> can't activate / jailbreak
1.1.3 -> can't upgrade , the process ends with an error.....

?!

I think I have exactly the same problem here!
I'm on 1.1.2 FM with the repair needed problem now...did you solve it already?
