I suspect you have this problem Wifi Fixer [iPhone Dev Team]
Need to confirm via that command i mentioned earlier.
You should try the command via iBooter as that is what was originally supported for troubleshooting this.
http://www.hackint0sh.org/f128/35745.htm how to get iBooter working.
For download links, google for it. The original page is offline.
Would recommend you do a lot of this troubleshooting while running OS 1.1.4

Okay, so I'm gonna downgrade to 1.1.4.
About the wifi, it's not greyed out, it's in fact working pretty nice as my friend said. The only thing that is messed up is IMEI
I think when I downgrade to 1.1.4 I will be able to get the output from readnvram, so I'm not gonna use iBooter unless it still gives me no output.
PS: Sorry for the quick bump, I didn't mean to rush you.

One more question, when you say to downgrade to 1.1.4, I need to downgrade baseband to match, right?

If you can manage to get the baseband downgraded, yes...
As your wifi works, I think your best bet is to erase your baseband with ieraser (preferably via iLiberty plus) and then reload a fresh baseband again.
Do you know which bootloader you have (3.9 or 4.6?)

The bootloader is 3.9. And baseband was erased several times during downgrading, because when I got "everything" back (except correct IMEI) I tried to put 1.1.4, then downgraded to 1.1.3 because I've read 1.1.3 could fix incorrect IMEI, then 1.1.1, then 1.0.2 and now 3.1.2 after virginator.

sorry - I jump in late. Let me think about this a little. It's been a while ... I should start reading from page 1 of this thread again

And it's SOLVED! I downgraded to 1.1.1, then 1.0.2, ran the virginator, then DFU-ed latest (3.1.2), jailbroke with blackra1n but IMEI still 00 49xxx at this point. I installed Cydia, installed Bootneuter, ran Bootneuter, it said Succeded then frozed with the message "Please wait, determining settings". I waited about 8 minutes and decided to reboot iPhone, it was working and IMEI matched the sticker!!!
Thanks Olethros and dtube!

Yes, after talking with my friend he explained better what happened with the phone. The phone was never unlocked and he tried to unlock with BootNeuter, then I guess he didn't wait enough time and it wiped baseband giving error code 23 with iTunes 9.0.2. Like I said before when I flashed 1.1.1 with iTunes 7.5.025 I got all back (wifi, bluetooth, baseband) except IMEI (stayed 00 49xx). All I had to do was flash 3.1.2, jailbreak and ran BootNeuter again, but I though about fixing IMEI first, that's why I downgraded to 1.0.2, ran the virginator etc etc and that didn't fixed the IMEI, so yesterday I decided to flash 3.1.2 and give BootNeuter another shot, the only thing different is that this time I was guiding my friend and told him to wait, wait, wait and wait some more. The only thing I've found strange was that after "Succeded" message, it froze with "Please wait, determining settings" and I wait about 8 minutes before try to reboot. Once I rebooted, baseband, wifi, bluetooth and correct IMEI was there also it was unlocked.
Good history huh?! I'm just sad that I didn't need to go thru all those firmwares.. but it's FIXED!
My friend said once he gets a new phone he will send me this iPhone as a gift for all my hard work and I will call this phone WARRIOR!
