Hi there! I´m stuck and desperated =/ ... when i try to restore the firmware selecting the 1.1.1 file that i downloaded, i click the "Option" and "Restore" buttons, choose the file ipsw and the nothing happens. iTunes only restores 1.0.2 and 1.1.2 FW files, with 1.1.1 nothing happens.

Any clue? I´m really stuck... by the way I´m on a german iTunes but with an US iPhone.

if you are using a pc, you need to hold down shift and then click restore...search the forums to verify this.

Ferarg make sure you go to DFU mode.

On 1.0.2 - Run iTunes, connect phone and Power on as soon as apple logo appears press and keep both buttons (Home and Power) for approx 25seconds\
iTunes will give you Restore mode and phone will display yellow triagle.

On 1.1.1 - run iTunes, connect Phone as soon as apple logo appears press both buttons for 10 seconds (screen will go black) then relase Top button and hold only Home for another 15s.

Then click on Restore button (iTunes) with SHIFT on PC. You will see File Window, if not try again and again as many times you need

Hi... I got the iPhone into DFU, shift + click on restore, choose my 1.1.1_restre.ipws but then nothing happens... I click OK when i select the file and then it goes back to the iPhone window but no fw actualisation starts. If I click on 1.0.2 or 1.1.2 it will start, it´s the 1.1.1 file that somehow doesnt work.

Could I downloaded a corrupted file? or is it that im on a german iTunes? no clue!

Redownload the firmware and store it in another location and give it a try.

Ok... the problem was definately in the file... i downloaded the file in a windows machine, removed the .zip to a .ipsw file and it worked.

It seems it´s not a common problem, so here is a reference...
