Help: iPhone Not Detected By Computer
I have a t-mobile unlocked iphone.
If I plug my USB cable into my iPhone, and plug it into the AC adapter, it charges.
If I dock it, it won't charge.
If I plug it in directly, it won't charge.
I can't sync or hack it from a computer because of this.
The computer never reacts (i.e., normally you see "found new hardware...")
This worked yesterday morning (already unlocked). Between yesterday morning and today, I performed the youtube hack. That was done on another computer using the same cables, and the iPhone was unlocked prior to this morning when it worked on my home machine.
I tried all the USB ports on this computer. I tried my laptop. I tried another cable. None of it fixes it. Why would it suddenly stop working? Is it possible a hack could kill it like that? (see this thread for a similar story http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showthread.php?t=853).
The phone was unlocked on a Mac using INdependence 1.2.3. Further hacks were done using iBrickr on Windows (never had a problem the entire day). The machines now trying to access the iPhone are Windows as well.
Any ideas?

probably the utube step you did, did something try to undo it if you can, or try forced restore by
turn phone off
hold home button down
plug into pc with home held down
click restore , ( or hold shift click restore to choose firmware file)
good luck

You have the 1.0.2 version of lockdownd on your phone. You need to replace it with the 1.1.1 version and reboot.

Where can I download the 1.1.1 lockdown file?

I figured it out.
There is a patch 1.1.1 lockdownd file in this thread:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...downd+download
Upload it to /usr/libexec/ (make sure you back up your current one)
THEN MAKE SURE YOU CHMOD IT TO 0755!
Restart iphone.

had this problem yesterday... just put it into recovery mode and your problems should be solved.

sorry i didn't clarify.
i copied the file over the wireless. as in, i used a program like WinSCP + wireless connection to overwrite and change the permission of the file in question. Much simpler than restoring, and much less likely to brickify the iphone...

do you use a MAC? if your answer is yes you have to go to your username home folder on the mac there you enter the Library folder and there you should see a folder named "Lockdown" just erase that folder open itunes and your iphone sould now pop up correctly
