the phone was in 1.02, the wifi is gone suddenly. I can still turn on wi-fi, but it keep searching and couldn't list the available network (none is showing)

Trying to upgrade to 1.11 firmware, the same result. Now i can't unlock the phone anymore, coz there is no wi-fi, i can't even connect to putty coz it doesn't have an ip.

It's been a few months since i bought it, is it still ok to return to apple?

Have you confirmed that the wifi network is still active with another device?

i have 2 iphone searching the network at the same time. The other one could get a network list, but this iphone doesn't have anything show up

i have exactly the same problem
the wifi keeps searching without finding any network
i tried to virginize, downgrade, reupgrade, everything but its not working, i dont know what else to do. the issue is more weird because i have a mac address and the phone is searching a signal, but still nothing
nevertheless i could unlock the phone using a PC with iBrick and the terminal
you cant activate in 1.1.1 because you need the wifi but you can activate and unlock the phone in 1.0.2 and in 1.1.2
I dont know what to do. i gave my iphone back to apple and as i virginized it, they said how could you know that the wifi isnt working, your iphone is not activated!
please help us guyz

There is a post on this forum saying something like, No signal, No WIFI, lets fix it!

some ppl said its HW and changing the wifi card may fix the issue

i just searched the forum and didnt find your topic. the only one i found says no wifi, no mac address, but i do have a mac address and when i checked my wifi information thru the terminal (ifconfig), the wifi seems to works correctly, i just have no signal whereas the phone is searching for one! weird!!

that is what i am thinking too, apple will also ask u for the phone number, coz we are supposed to activated via at&t and get a number, now the phone has been purchased for a few months, don't know how to take it back for an exchange.

The last method is frying the phone, burn the circult to make it unable to turn on.

just go to GENERAL and RESET all Network settings, the phone will then reboot an you will regain all features back

dont u think we already try that? we also have virginzed newbie !
