Default HELP HELP LOOOK READ MAYBE YOU CAN HELP 1.1.1 and anysim

    NEED HELP!

I bought my iphone when the price went down. I unlocked it and it was working fine with tmobile sim.

Now, i tried to update software and i locked the phone...

i went from 1.1.2 and tried to jailbreak that but it didnt work.

I restored 1.1.1 and tried unlocking that with AnySim...I unlocked it and, it would not read my sim card, so i thought that i needed to upgrade to 1.1.2 for that to work. but i was wrong.

So i loaded 1.1.2 again and then tried the jailbreak again and nothing....the windows.bat file wont execute...

so, i restored back to 1.1.1 and now Anysim will at the end of the process say....

    anysim cannot unlock this phone.....

I virginized my phone last night and changed the basebands...that went smooth....

i thought that would help anysim unolock the sim...

i was wrong.... i still get the message that anysim cannot unlock this phone....

    what do i do!!!!!

I have the phone unlcoked right now, but it wont recognize the sim i have in there..

please DEV TEAM or someone , help me out......

    thank you

    email me at

    dmen1218@yahoo.com

    thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax. I will try to help.

    1) What firmware version did the iphone come with?
    2) What do you use to virginize your phone?
    3) What version are you on now?
    4) What simcard/network are you on?

If you goto settings -> General -> About

Please tell me if your IMEI number begins with 0049xxx ?
And also what modem version you have.?

No my IMEI does not begin with that.....its like 0130000 (ithink)something like that. I am at work right now and i dont have the phone with me. But i am sure its not 0049XXX....

My baseband is.....04.01 3 G or something....but its not the one with the two in it. when i virginized the phone, i notice that the baseband was changed and then when i updated to 1.1.1 the baseband then changed again to the current one.

    just a bit confused.

So after your virginized, you upgraded to 1.1.1 or you just restored 1.1.1

You then jailbroke your phone? And then tried to use anySim to unlock ? And it is at this point anySim failed?

see the first time i did anything....i upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.1.2 and tried to jailbreak that but that didnt work. then i restored to 1.1.1 all the times. never upgraded to 1.1.1

in 1.1.1 i jailbroke the phone.... doing the whole dial *#307# then 0 and so on..... i added url prefs: and also http://jailbreakme.com

    that worked....

phone was unlocked....but know it wont recognize the sim cause i have to unlock the sim right......ok

i did the whole anySIM.app thing loaded the app. and then that was it. i ran it and it did its thing. everything was fine i believe it unlcoked it. but it still didnt read my sim......so i didnt know what to do.

so i thought i had to get 1.1.2 for some reason and jailbreak.....but the jailbreak didnt work....so then i restored again to 1.1.1 and jailbroke it the same way...added anySIM.app to the phone and then it did its thing and at the end it said...

anysim cannot unlock this phone, please restart your phone after anysim exits. or something like that.

thats when i virginized the phone, restored again to 1.1.1 and then did the whole prefs and jailbreak thing, got anysim and it didnt work. got the same message.

Think your in this situation because you updated to 1.1.2. I would virginize your baseband on the firmware your on, using this guide:

    http://iphone.unlock.no/#how-to-virginize-easily

Have a read and choose the best option for you.

Remember to RESTORE 1.1.1 after virginzing on 1.1.1.

    Then try using anysim again.

Thats what I would do, but i'm no expert, so do at your risk.
