Help with The Cloud??
Hi all,
I have a OOB 1.1.2 unlocked O2 UK iPhone running on orange with TurboSIM, everything works fine but i decided to sign up with The Cloud to get wifi hotspots when i travel out of town. I signed up and gave them my iPhone MAC address, But when i went to oxford today i could log onto the cloud wifi but could not access any other pages then their website, As soon as i try to do something else I get the message: Redirection error but i can look at their website.
Has anyone else had similar problems? any help would be appreciated.
Would the TurboSIM affect anything?

TurboSIM should have absolutely nothing to do with your WiFi problems... I'd suggest contacting the cloud support...
iPhone 3G 16GB white. Official on contract. Used to have a w48 iPhone (OTB 1.1.2) all the way to 2.0.1 when I went legit.
Current FW: 2.0.2
Carrier: EMT (Estonia)
All functions working

yeah i am writing them a ticket, do you think it's possible that O2 have reserved all the MAC addresses of the iPhones in the UK and for that reason the cloud isn't letting me access anything as it is not on O2?

technically, its working as its supposed to
any wifi enabled device can access the clouds wifi, except they need to enter in a credit card number through a website, which is why you can access the clouds website, as this is where you enter the info
to get free wifi access with the cloud, you need an iphone o2 contract, and when you go in, you enter your o2 number and they then allow your phone unlimited access on the network
you cant do this as youre not on o2
to get it to work, you need to enter a credit card number...

one thing im doing to be able to use the iphone wifi feature is that im buying my iphone in uk end of this week and bypassing the activation, then gonna sign up to bt total broadband n get like 350 free wifi minutes every month which i will then use through the iphone (or my laptop)!

it's a problem with cloud service, not the phone, contact customer support

thanks, I realise that, I have already take out the unlimited wifi with them for £6.99 a month, and then given the MAC address of the iphone to them so it is supposed to let me access their whole network without having to enter usernames/passwords, i don't think it matters if i am not on O2.
