Help! Can't restore iPhone!
I'm trying to do the 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 upgrading process.
Everything went fine when i virginized, but while upgrading to 1.1.1. I receive 'iPhone could not be restored. There is not enough memory available'.
So i searched in the forums and found the following:
Check you have space available on your computer. The ipsw file is basically a compressed zip file and will need to be extracted before running. You can also try removing some 3rd party apps from your iPhone if you have a lot installed.
I do have space in my computer, but i do have a lot of apps.
WHAT CAN I DO? OR HOW DO I REMOVE THE APPS IF I'M IN THE "CONNECT TO ITUNES SCREEN?
PLZ HELP.
Thx in advance.

The problem is the space available in your computer's hard disk, not in your iPhone.
Just free up some space in it and the restore will work

My computer has 52 GB available, so i don't think that's the problem. Also my iPhone had like 5 GB available last time i checked (it was today), but i have a lot of apps.
Getting a little nervous here. Any other idea?

start over.
try it on a different computer.
put the .ipsw file on a travel drive or something and go to someone else's computer with itunes 7.5
restore it back to 1.1.1

maybe the iTunes version is the problem. i'm running the 7.3.1 version.
But is 7.5 safe for this?
I tried it on a different pc, (also iTunes 7.3.1), but i got the same error message.
Thx.

Ok, i got this working.
Here's what i did:
1. Updated Itunes to the latest version (7.5.x)
2. Tried to restore with firmware 1.1.1, got unknown error 6, and the yellow triangle again.
3. Restored to firmware 1.0.2, i got to the slide for emergency screen.
4. Restored to firmware 1.1.1 and activated with the dialpad trick.
5. Unlocked with Anysim 1.1
I hope that my painful experience will be helpful to other users.
Thx.
