first, to answer your question i would like to say that . You just as the very beginning step of the process(downgrade 1.1.1 (out of box)-1.02) you can go to setting-general-about. You'll see your bb still 4...(meaning still bb of 1.1.1). My suggest is that you can update your iphone to 1.1.1 again and using any jailbreak (1.1.1) activation then unlock it using anysim 1.1.1. I did mine but stuck at the activation part because Iasign is not running in window Vista ultimate.
If you want a quick guide to unlock the iphone (with 1.0.2 version and 1.0.2 bb) and if you doing this you'll not able to use anysim 1.1.1 (because you just modified your bb) refers to Steath Guide How to Restore a 1.1.1 phone to 1.0.2 and fix the baseband! no you havent modified the baseband


you can restore to 1.1.1 with itunes and nuttin would happen trust me i have done it plenty of times bcuz i was trying to unlock it plenty of times ....i must of have restore it more den 5 times from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 and from 1.02 to 1.1.1 it was a virgin 1.1.1 by the way and i had run anysim 1.2 and iunlock trying to unlock it lol and it obviously didnt work but it didnt brick my phone.

that's the mac stuff but you can jailbreak and downgrade to 1.0.2 using ibrickr 0.9x (latest one). Install the community sources, bsd. From there you can ssh into the phone and scp (winscp) AnySim 1.1 to the Applications folder. After that, you will see anysim on the springboard, then unlock... You get the idea.

one more question do i have to remove the applications i installed with ibrickr before I restore with itunes.

but why would you want to downgrade to 1.0.2???
i seriously recomend using the new any sim, it will patch your existing BB.
in addition if you have a mac, you can update your phone back to 1.1.1
infact if you have a mac download independence 1.2.3 (you have alrady sompleted stepone of ulocking/activating 1.1.1 by downgrading to 1.0.1)
and if you feel generous...send the money to the DEV team because of whom all this is possible.

I got my AnySim 1.1 on my springboard by using Ibickz .091... however, when i run anySIM 1.1, it said that can't unlock my phone. I've tried 4-5 times already. I even took it out and reinstaled another one in.

Please help dtude... or any one..

I don't think you have damaged the NVRM SECROM yet, what you can do at this point is fully restore the 1.1.1 firmware and following the one click jailbreak method, try to use the alpha version because it seems work better for me. Then you install anysim 1.1 to unlock it.

hmmm... I'm in this stage now..1.0.2 fw with .13_G BB. It works on GSM and everything looks fine..but I'm afraid to try another update tu 1.1.1 fw.

Igot this situation from an unlocked 1.0.2 phone w/old anysim. I did a complete virginization to 1.0.2.
Phone was ok still unlocked. But I did tried to go on 1.1.1 update. I screw it somewhere on the way so . I did again an restore to 1.0.2...and end in this situation. I ran anysim 1.1.1 on this configuration and worked.
Don't know if to triy again to update to 1.1.1... If I'll brick my phone...?
