There is no problem to unlock 1.1.2 and 04.02.x, anysim 1.2 is able to do that (on bl 3.9 only)
The ONLY problem is unlock any phone with the new bootloader 4.6...
I'm still to see a unlocked phone with the new bootloader, many rumors regarding OTB 1.1.2 unlocks should be phones with the old booloader 3.9.

How can i identify an iphone with the 4.6 bootloader just by looking at its boxed? Which week on the serial number means it has the 4.6 bl?

This for sure that the version of bootloader is 3.9
And this is not an UK phone.
Firmware and baseband can be update
ATM there is no unlocking method for 100% simfree for UK phone (software unlock)

i know what a bootloader is on unix
but what it means exactly on the iPhone ?
and getting the modem firmware to 1.1.1 (from 1.1.2) with bootloader 3.9 is possible, right ?

How on earth has he managed to hack the new 04.02.13_G baseband to work on Orange with V1.1.2?! Im perplexed...

What is the problem??? I have TWO iPhones running 1.1.2 and 04.02.13_G baseband, fully unlocked, activated and working (YouTube, etc.).
No issues so far, one phone has been unlocked more than a week ago, the other one yesterday. I don't have a real clue how I did it but it was a mess using AnySIM 1.2u and 1.2.1u, downgrading, upgrading, back and forth and finally it worked with the latest jailbreak/activation method.
I'm on Vodafone Germany, it may be more difficult with a different provider.
Bootloader is, of course, V 3.9. Both iPhones had 1.1.1 out of the box, were unlocked with 1.1.1 first a couple of weeks ago.
I have another three iPhones, one I tried today to update to 1.1.2 with full unlock, etc. but it doesn't work. Jailbreak, activation...no problem. Unlock...seems to be a combination of trying, trying, trying and luck.
I did NOT downgrade the baseband at any time, just for your information.
AnySIM update has been done on 1.1.2 (first phone) and 1.1.1 (second phone).
It took me half a dozend (at least) of downgrade/updates to make it work, incl. various semi-bricked situations out of which I "escaped" sometimes with a lot of luck (the second phone kept rebooting for one hour and there was nothing I can do about it, it wouldn't even shut off).
A friend of mine offered 800 Euro for my unlocked 1.1.2/4.02.xx baseband iPhone today but I refused. I have two working iPhones with this configuration and I want to use them myself. If I succeed in updating a third one, I may sell it to him.
The other two are for experimentation because I'm pretty sure that Apple isn't sleeping and sooner or later...well...
