If you run IPSF without trying to relock the iPhone, it of course says the iPhone is already locked and does nothing. I'm pretty sure it does this simply by checking the XSIMSTATE and aborting if "PN",4 is returned (as opposed to running any kind of BB firmware checks).
IPSF website promises to update their servers to deal with this issue. Can you try again with the latest version of IPSF and report what happens?

I actually have, just out of curiosity. However, this is an issue that might be a bit more complicated for them than merely identifying the 004999010640000 IMEI as somehow being valid to run IPSF.

Firstly, they would want to make sure that they could get their hands on the "real" IMEI of the client phone (for licensing purposes, lest everybody with a 004999010640000 IMEI suddenly be given a carte-blanche license).

More importantly, however, is the cause of the 004999010640000 IMEI (as indicated above). The solution is going to likely going to involve more than just running the IPSF unlock again, as the iUnlock/AnySIM solution will have written something into the seczone (which is what I believe causes the 004999010640000 condition) that IPSF is going to have to attempt to clean up to return the iPhone to a virgin state.

While I'm sure they may be working on it, this is not likely as simple as it sounds.

doesnt your correct IMEI come back if you take your sim card out and reboot the phone.. cuz mine does.. so you can try running ipsf without the sim card.. it might run

I tried that as well. IPSF complains if you don't have your SIM card installed and doesn't proceed.

Besides, if they're not resetting the seczone properly, the results would be unpredictable at best and completely disastrous at worst, since the underlying issue created by iUnlock won't necessarily go away.

    Ah... I mean if:

    1. Do a factory restore to my iPhone 1.0.2
    2. Update to firmware 1.1.1
    3. Downgrade it again to 1.0.2

Will the downgraded iPhone got the correct baseband?

well if you want to risk it a lil bit more..im not sure if it will work but..
try putting your simcard in after simfree checks the IMEI license.. it has to check the IMEI before it starts the flashing process..

well just to confirm.. it worked!

i had a 1.0.2 anySim unlocked phone reflashed with clean 3.14 firmware to relock it.. after the relock it was reporting the 004999 imei problem..which caused problem for ipsf unlock..

now to be able to run ipsf in this situation you need to remove your simcard and reboot your phone.. make sure it reports correct imei.. then run ipsf.. when ipsf finishes checking the imei license, put in your sim card so it passes the sim card check.. now your phone should unlock successfully..

how good the unlock is.. hmmmm.....im just comtemplating whether to upgrade to 1.1.1 and then downgrade 1.02.....

    UPDATE
wow.. i have to say..the ipsf unlock is pretty good..i upgraded to 1.1.1 with 4.01.13 modem firmware, and after the upgrade finish the phone just asks for activation.. it doesnt even pop up Incorrect Sim etc... it just accepts my sim card.. nice eh.. im now going to downgrade to 1.0.2 which im sure will work perfectly.. but i will get to run on 4.01.13 firmware
