Default Has anyone shipped their unlocked iPhone back to Apple for repair?

    Hi,
I just wanted to know if anyone has shipped their unlocked iPhone back to Apple for repair and what was your outcome? Was your phone covered under warranty? Did they found out that your phone was unlocked and what did they do?

    lp

im also interested in this. will apple only ship it back to a US address? It doesnt make sense if they would ship a macbook back for example, and not an iphone!!
if i have seen a little farther, it is because i've been standing on the shoulders of giants

Virginize it, then send it. Now, they won't know you did anything to it, unless they look very closly.

I've got my previously unlocked now virginized iPhone sitting here waiting for the FedEx guy to pick it up to send to Apple for repairs. I'm sending it in because I can't get the SIM tray to eject. I'll let everyone know if Apple notices that it had been previously unlocked.

which sim does it have right now? U cant get the sim tray to eject and if u had some other carrier's sim inside it, apple will surely know, that u hacked it...

    Were are you sending it?

Isn't it required to have the iPhone activated with a AT&T before sending it?

Well, I CAN get the SIM tray to eject, but I have to stick a thumb tack in there and push it against a wall for about 5 full minutes sweating and swearing until it pushes up out about half a millimeter for me to be able to grab and pull it out with tweezers. So yeah, I got my T-Mobile SIM out of there and my AT&T one back in there before I sent it.
