Default Hardware Unlock? Better than Software Unlock? (was: Hardware Unlock)

Hey guys.. i read in the forum that the hardware unlock does practically the same thing as the software unlock by tricking the baseband..

    is this true ?

So the hardware unlock isnt better than the software unlock ?

In my point of view, sim cloning is better, doesn't void the warranty

SIM cloning is highly illegal in many countries, you can even go to jail if they get you.
This is partially related to older telecommunictions laws which forbid "interferring with telecommunications". I would be very careful with SIM cloning, despite the legal rights and the risk, your telecommunications carrier could ban you for life from their services if they find out, even worse...they could pass on a warning to other similar companies, so you're in serious trouble for find a carrier to use a phone with.

Again: above doesn't have to happen and I know only of one case in Europe where a major telecommunications provider kicked out a customer because of SIM cloning.
Since this isn't something which necessarily makes it to the daily news, the number of kicked out customers, arrested/charged users, etc. is unknown.

Just be careful and no, SIM cloning is definetely NOT the best method.

Just use the software allright. You gonna open up a phone risking doing damage to it? You clearly haven't read all the problems the bozo's had after doing a HW unlock. Crying all over the forum that there wi-fi, bluetooth and phone is no longer working.
Software is the most safe way to go if you dont use a supersim. I used the supersim for a while and there is no way the carrier will detect that.
