He claims he can unlock even 1.1.1 phones, I told him he was smoking crack, but he fully believes he can do it. I told him to tell me how to do it because I'm not sending my phone to Canada to someone with only 1 feedback, but he says its a secret, which *IF* true, then I understand.

If anyone lives near him, I say you contact him and see if he will do it in person. Otherwise I think he is just some guy trying to steal gullible people's iPhones.

How old are you? Just curious. OF COURSE this is some sort of SCAM, you wouldn't be the first one to fall for it and if you check the forums, you'll find even people who have been WARNED over and over again NOT to fall for such scam and they still did it and never got something in return. In a "best case" scenario, you get a 1.1.1 phone downgraded to FW 1.0.2 and ACTIVATED.

The problem is: you can't even sue these guys since all the unlock stuff is some sort of grey area stuff which you do at your own risk. It doesn't help you much if eBay closes such an auction since you never see your money back (if you're unlucky, you may not even see your iPhone back ).
