I downloaded BBInfo.app manually from website and put it under \Applications when I rebooted iphone and saw icon of bbinfo when i open it, It pops up blank for few seconds then closes... Any idea?'
Does it require any other app like bsd subsystem or anything else?...

Add the source to your installer : http://www.trejan.com/irepo
    Install BBInfo under Utility category

    Thanks to amazing tman!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Manual Method

    What you need:

    1. WinSCP - WinSCP :: Download
    2. puTTY - PuTTY Download Page
    3. bbupdater - http://rapid$hare.com/files/65139648...dows_.zip.html (Replace $ with letter s Unzip and extract "bbupdater", I don't know where else to get only the bbupdater)
    4. WIFI
    5. Jailbreaked

    What to do:
    1. Install WinSCP
    2. Check iPhone WiFi IP address -- Settings->WiFi->tap blue arrow->IP Address
    2. Launch WinSCP - Enter IP Address in Host Name box, Username root Password alpine and uncheck "Allow SCP fallback". Click 'Yes' if a message window appears for the first connection attempt
    3. WinSCP GUI will appear, your local PC directories will be shown on the left portion and iPhone directories will appear on the right. Browse to /usr/bin directory on iPhone if you already have that. If not make one by Right Click -> New or press F7 in the /usr directory
    4. On the GUI, look for bbupdater you just downloaded, drag and drop it into iPhone's /usr/bin directory. MAKE SURE to set the permission to 0755!
    5. Close WinSCP
    6. Launch puTTY.exe
    7. Enter the same IP Adress in Step 2 to the Host IP Name and click 'Yes' to the message for the first connection attempt
    8. Enter root as login prompt and alpine as Password and you will see a '#' symbol
    9. In the puTTY window, type: (to disable Comm Center)

    launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    10. Nothing will happen but then type:

    bbupdater -v

The following message will appear and you can now write down the bootloader version of your phone:

    Resetting target...
    pinging the baseband...
    issuing +xgendata...
    firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_04.01.13_G
    eep version: EEP_VERSION:207
    eep revision: EEP_REVISION:8
    bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:3.9_M3S2

    11. Finally type: (to enable Commcenter again)

    launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    12. Power cycle your phone and you are done!!

Please help.. I followed these steps up to launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    an error returned
now my iphone keeps rebooting itself after a few minutes.

Thumbs down WARNING - this will make your phone reboot every 3 mins, and might brick it!!

Take GREAT care with the above... it will make your phone reboot every 3 mins, because the watchdog cannot find that service anymore. If you try to restore your phone like this, it will reboot in the middle of the update, which WILL brick (destroy) your phone.

do NOT restore your phone when it starts rebooting.

If you messed with com.apple.CommCenter.plist recently - that is the *reason* your phone is stuck rebooting in an endless loop every 2 or 3 minutes.

Restore the original file, or re-enable that daemon by deleting the following 2 lines from the top of the plist file:-

    <key>Disabled</key>
    <true/>

FYI - these instructions are old and don't work - you need BBUpdaterExtreme

    iPhone:~ root# ./BBUpdaterExtreme queryversion
    Validating parameters...OK
    Disabling thermal Notifications...OK
    Disabling sleep...OK
    Powering radio on through AppleBaseband
Opening device path /dev/cu.debug, using initial baud 115200
    - Ping OK
    Gathering modem information...OK
    Checking Static EEP backup...
    - backup is OK
Checking Static EEP backup -- All OK
    Device IMEI: *******
    Firmware Version: ICE2-02.30.03
    EEP Version: EEP_VERSION:526
    EEP Revision: EEP_REVISION:0
    Boot Loader Version: ICE2_BOOT_05.09_G2M3S2
    FLS/EEP Mismatch: Match
    Re-enabling thermal Notifications...OK
    Re-enabling sleep...OK
    iPhone:~ root#
